We all have office supplies or tools that will help grow or simply make our business run smoother. The problem may be that we just don't have the budget to purchase them right away. I have a quick tip that I've used a number of times to help fund purchases of non-essential office equipment or supplies. I use this technique whenever the opportunity presents itself. . . .

Cindy's Pick Of The Week: Vintage Lakeland Clicker Coat
Cindy Shebley
We don't often purchase clothes to resell because it's not one of our areas of knowledge. When we do consider purchasing we use a few measurements to gauge whether it's a good purchase they are: vintage made in USA, condition and do they ring an emotion when we see it. Here's an item that fit that criteria . . .

Facebook New Upgrades To The Business Fan Pages 2011
Cindy Shebley
Facebook rolled out the new updated layout for their Fan pages late last week. Users can take a tour or upgrade -- but be warned if you upgrade there is no turning back. If you haven't already upgraded it might be best to wait a few days until a few of the bugs are ironed out. Users have until March 1st to upgrade, after that FB will start migrating pages automatically. . . .

Cindy Shebley
Many items you may find to resell just don't work on eBay. Either they are not allowed or just don't fit. So what do you do if you find yourself needing to sell such an item? The other day I ran across that problem when I picked up a CPAP machine. . . .

Tip Of The Week- WuFoo
Cindy Shebley
Getting a customer to visit a website is hard! Most merchants who have stand alone stores spend small fortunes on Google Pay Per Click ads and hours of time building links and SEO to grab traffic. Even harder is getting them to linger long enough to learn more about the store. Most users click through sites like they are channel surfing on TV. How do we get them to stop? Big companies do it with 'personalization.' They engage customers by using product relevant recommendations on page (think: customers who bought this item also bought XYZ) and they use product ratings and reviews. . . .

Cindy Shebley
I was surprised how many questions and comments I heard on the Top Rated Sellers Panel and during the event about Smart Phones. Mobile technology use is exploding! Buyers are spending an amazing amount of money purchasing using their mobile hardware. Sellers are not really clear how to take advantage of the market, but eBay is investing and inventing heavily . . .

Tip Of The Week Using Droid Applications To Product Source
Cindy Shebley
Have you looked at your cell phone as a tool that can help you source product? If not, you may want to take a closer look at some of the applications available. This weekend I had a chance to run out to the local Goodwill and check out the books. I haven't done that in ages. I had a great time. I found a couple of books for $3.00 that sold within hours for $20.00 each. . . .

Selling Books On eBay
Cindy Shebley
One thing that I found was that unless the books are rare, the hottest title, or they are collectible they don't tend to sell for much. Especially if you sell them singularly. However..... . . .

Cindy Shebley
It's time for another tip of the week! Can you believe how fast time flies? With the dog days of August many people are just not buying. They're outside, on vacation, or simply loafing and enjoying the warm weather. That doesn't mean you should slow down however. This is the time to get busy. . . .
